Destiny Exhortations

Destiny Exhortations

■  The name of the Heavenly Father/Most High God is Yehouah.

The name of the only begotten Son of God/Messiah is Yehoshua.

  • “… they… cause My people to forget My name…” (Jeremiah 23:27).

  • “Therefore My people shall know My name…” (Isaiah 52:6).

■  If you have not done so already, ask God to fill you with the gift of the Holy Ghost.  The Holy Ghost will be the Teacher that stays with you always.  When you go in prayer to God, pray in the Holy Ghost by praying in tongues as often as you get a chance.

  • “…how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?” (Luke 11:13).

  • “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost” (Jude 20).

  • “And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost” (John 20:22).

  • “Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you” (John 14:17).

  • “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you” (John 14:26).

  • “And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever” (John 14:16).

  • “But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, He shall testify of Me” (John 15:26).

  • “Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you. And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:  Of sin, because they believe not on Me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.  I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.  Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come.  He shall glorify Me: for He shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.  All things that the Father hath are Mine: therefore said I, that He shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you” (John 16:7-15).

  • “He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost… And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied” (Acts 19:2, 6).

  • “While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.  For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God” (Acts 10:44-46).

■  Worship God!  Lift up holy hands, sing/speak praises and thanksgiving to God, dance unto the Lord, do as you are led by the Holy Spirit.  Choose mainly worship music that focuses on exalting God’s greatness and majesty (for instance, see Worthy Is The Lamb  and  Let The Heavens Open ).  Worshipping the Lord is your high calling and goal!!!

  • “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created.” (Revelation 4:11).

  • “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased” (Hebrews 13:15-16).

■  Fast often.  Make it a lifestyle.

  • “Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly” (Matthew 6:16-18).

  • “And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.” (Luke 2:37).

  • “…in fastings often…” (2 Corinthians 11:27).

  • “Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?   Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy reward.   Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity; And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day:  And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.  And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.  If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:  Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.” (Isaiah 58:6-14).

■  Read your Bible.  I personally use the King James Version (KJV) mostly.  Be led by the Holy Spirit in your Bible reading.  Just as a suggestion, I would say that you might find it helpful to read the books of the Bible in the following order when you read through the whole Bible for the first time:

  • The entire book of Mark first

  • The entire book of Acts second

  • The entire book/Gospel of John (not the short epistles of John, but the long book of John that has 21 chapters)

  • The entire book of Luke fourth

  • Now read all the remaining books in the New Testament that you haven’t read yet

  • Then read all the books in the Old Testament

Then start over again and read the whole Bible over again from Genesis to Revelation by using a Bible reading plan that you are comfortable with and like.

In order to learn how to find your way around the Bible, you can always start with using the Table of Contents found at the front of your Bible.  It is important to understand how a scripture passage is set up.  For example, if you see

Mt. 6:15

somewhere, notice how the book of the Bible is not fully written out.  As you get familiar with the books of the Bible in the Table of Contents, you will come to learn all the short abbreviations that are frequently used.  “Mt. 6:15” means the Book of Matthew.  The number six (on the left side of the colon) is the chapter, so chapter six.  The number 15 (on the right side of the colon) is the verse, so verse 15.  Sometimes more than one verse is listed, so it may show Mt. 6:15-18.  This means you should go to the book of Matthew, turn to chapter 6, and then read all the verses 15-18.

Some people say that they just cannot understand the Bible.  You must realize and always know that it is okay if you don’t have full understanding the first time you read through the entire Bible.  Just read it anyway!  Read it out of obedience to God—even without full understanding!  You can do this.  You’re not required to catch on to everything or feel pressured.  You just take the steps to swallow the Word of God down into your system and let it abide there.  Then, later on in life, at just the right moments, the Holy Ghost (who is your Teacher) will give you more understanding!  Relax, enjoy and just eat it!!!

  • “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against Thee” (Psalm 119:11).

  • “Sanctify them through Thy truth: Thy word is truth” (John 17:17).

■  Tell other people about being saved.  Use the true name of the Heavenly Father and the true name of the Messiah.  You can use the information on this website to help you tell others how to be saved.

  • “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me (Yehoshua) both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8).
